Monday crew
Monday is always a popular day at the shed. Here are a few of the regular crew who all happen to be on camera at the same time.
Simon was working with Michael in the tools & stores area. Col & Keith were in deep discussion at the table saw. Mick was showing Craig around the shop and Keith is busy as ever setting up clamps to complete the lathe bench.
Artistic endeavours
Craig was at the toolbox meeting this morning when the issue of logos, signs and branding came up. He immediately brought his artistic skills to bear and whipped up some designs for the San Remo Community Mens Shed logo. . . its not all carpentry and woodturning in the shed.
Many skills are needed to keep a successful shed operating.

Safe power
Alan Trower and George Collie took on the job of chopping out the trees near the neighobourhood centre this morning. The trees had been pruned to allow the electrician to install the cable across to the San Remo Community Mens Shed from the San Remo Neighbourhood Centre.
However, this cabling left the wires accessible from the stumps and presented a danger to anyone silly enough to climb up on the stumps, reach out and touch the wires.
To prevent any possible injury or vandalism, Alan & George took on the task of making it safe.
After watching George at work, we are thinking of entering him in the chainsaw competition at the RAS this easter.

Dust extractor
Many thanks to Coastline Kitchens for their donation of a dust extractor, just when we need one. Moving premises to their new factory in North Wyong meant that they no longer required this machine.
Michael G stored it in his garage till we could pick it up this morning. What an excellent contribution.

Under the awning
The San Remo Men's Shed Toolbox Meeting discussed the building of the Disability Loo, the new equipment donated this morning and two additional benches that have been offered from community members.
Working in the shed even on the hottest days is quite comfortable with the insulation keeping temperature bearable. Sitting out under the awning is becoming quite a tradition for our morning cuppa.
